We all know the health risks associated with high levels of stress including insomnia, high blood pressure and cardiac problems, depression and a host of other unwelcome symptoms. So we created a delicious, stress-soothing super smoothie to help calm and nourish your body.
Combining strawberries, pineapple and kiwi for the ultimate fruit refresher, we added in spinach, rich in folate which helps your body produce mood-regulating neurotransmitters like serotonin and dopamine, as well as avocado (in a smoothie?! YES.) which is full of omega 6 fatty acids that stabilize blood sugar levels, curbing mood swings, and putting a halt on hunger pangs! We also added some chia seeds, low-calorie and packed with omega 3 fatty acids, magnesium, and B vitamins, all proven stress reducers.
Note: We highly recommend pairing this smoothie with a good ol’ fashioned belly laugh and meditation sesh for optimum stress-busting results.
- 10 Strawberries
- 1 Kiwi
- 1/2 Banana
- 2 Pineapple Rings (Fresh or Canned – we prefer fresh!)
- 1/2 Cup Spinach
- 3 Slices Avocado
- 1 Cup Apple Juice
- 1 Tbsp Chia Seeds
Combine all ingredients in a blender, sit back, enjoy and RELAX!
